Listed building

Previously a pair of single storey granite cottages. Bought by Edward Slade, renowned engineer and inventor, who began as a blacksmith, working in the forge behind the house. His son, also Edward, later turned the forge into a garage and formed a bus company in the 1920s - taken over after the Occupation by the Jersey Motor Transport Co
