Historic Environment Record entry

Listed building

This mid-18th century, five-bay house retains is character and historic features, with an increasingly rare surviving example of a latticed porch.

The outbuildings to the west add value to the farm group as a whole in enclosing the south garden; those to the east contribute to the group.

The group as a whole contributes to the roadside rural setting.

Shown on the Richmond Map of 1795.

Range of outbuildings to east. To west, returning south, are two-storey converted outbuildings, now called Vortices.

The three-bay house to the rear, now called Uplands Cottage, is of interest in showing the development of the farm.
