Historic Environment Record entry

Listed building

An unusual north-facing house, which retains features and evidence of 17th century or earlier origins, including early features of a round-arched doorway, gable kneeler, and square tourelle tower.

Shown on the Richmond Map of 1795.

There is a granite gable kneeler stone on the southwest corner.

The stone extension at the centre is the remains of a square tourelle tower. Only the chamfered uprights and corbels with accolade pattern of the original granite fireplace survive. The house displays Jersey’s vernacular tradition in the use of local materials and details.
