Notes and references
- ↑ The Datestone Register entry shows Jean Quotanse, son of the late Elie Coutanse, married to Elisyabeth Benez, of Trinity in St John in 1698. Elizabeth Benest, wife of Jean Coutanche, son of Helier, of Mont Mado, was buried in St John on 22 December 1740. We have added this wedding, previously missing, along with many others in St John, to our database. We have not been able to locate this branch of the Coutanche family in any of our trees
