Listed building

A good example of an elegant mid-19th century villa, with scenic value and uniquely designed grotto with other garden features.

Located on a steep hill, set back. Three-storey plus attic, three-bay. Lined rendered facade, roof hidden behind parapet.

Unusual Picturesque raised garden sun house with grotto and water feature beneath in render, imitation tree bark style. Grotto houses imitation stalactites and stalagmites. Many other garden features composed of same material including wall and entrance steps.

Remains of stables with brick round-arched openings now under car park. Original plan altered extensively due to conversion into flats. Original entrance has been changed to accommodate conversion. Most of the original mahogany staircase intact but lower part has been removed with later staircase at rear of building.
