Listed building

House contributing to the roadside valley setting. It retains its character and proportions and original fabric including historic door. Mid 18th century, with possible earlier origins. Shown on the Richmond Map of 1795. 19th century alterations.

The 1881 census shows the occupier as a blacksmith, and the present roadside garage, with a well beneath, may possibly be the site of the original smithy.
