Listed building

This house sits impressively on the hill. The staircase and the 18th century fireplace within the house indicate a mid-18th century core. Early 19th century alterations have aggrandised the house.

The main house retains historic features externally, and although there have been considerable internal alterations some significant historic features remain.

Built around 1840 within earlier 18th century origins; over 4.5 vergees of land; quarry within boundary probably used to source the building stone.

32-foot billiard room added in 1970s; one of the attic bedrooms used to hide a French resistance worker during the war.
