A good example of mid-19th century rural cottage retaining external historic character and features in a prominent location. Five-bay, single storey house with attic. Single bay west wing. Red tile roof with two glazed cheek attic dormers with carved bargeboards and finials.

Pair of prominent gable chimneys with bracketed cornices and saw-tooth decoration. Façade is stucco with projecting rusticated quoins and quoined openings. Windows are sashed with 24 pane (12/12) glazing pattern. Wing to left (west) has datestone inscribed 1850. Front garden with granite boundary wall and stucco gateway with ornate iron gate
