Listed building
Originally a single storey fishermen's cottage, which shows on 1849 Godfray map. Converted in 1901 to Edwardian seaside house with flamboyant external ornamentation, much of which survives, and survival of many fine internal features, particularly the staircase and plasterwork.
A section of skirting board in the house has written in pencil 'Charles Le Quesne, Carpenter, Jersey, August 23rd 1901y'.
La Falaize: Semi-detached, two-storey, three-bay. Pitched slate roof, rendered corniced chimneys at ends
1930s two-storey extension at rear, probably replacing earlier service wing. Low render garden wall with swan neck iron railings and timber gates.
Double fronted, single pile, central hallway and staircase. Front half of hall with decorative plaster frieze including floral roundels and egg and dart moulding, central ceiling rose; dado rail not original but replaces earlier one. Dog leg, unusual 'blonde' mahogany staircase.
