Historic Environment Record entry

Listed building

A good example of mid-late 19th century rural house, with many original features surviving. Two-storey, five-bay house, with west wing and extensions to rear and east. Main house has slate roof set back behind parapet, with pair of rendered chimneys. Side elevation has conservatory, to the north of which is the entrance porch with arched doorway. Pair of two storey extensions at the rear, flanking a curved stair tower.

On the roadside is a late 19th century entrance gateway with curved walls set between column pillars in a variety of contrasting stonework - both ashlar and rock-faced granite and grey stone.
