The 1901 census does not give any clue to who owned the property at the time. Two families were listed as living here:
- Mauger: Farm servant Frank (Francis Peter) Mauger (1864- ) and his charwoman wife Jane, nee Gibaut (1865- ) made up one household with their children Francis (1892- ), Florence (1896- ) and Percy (1899- ). Elsie Ann joined the family in 1903
- Watkins: A second household was made up of postman Charles Watkins (1852- ), his grocery shopkeeper wife Mary Ann, nee Coyde ((1851- ) and their son Reginald (1882- ), also a postman
