Listed building
A former farm group retaining exterior historic character and features. Of particular significance is the 1837 building, which probably became a bake/wash-house at that date, although its origins appear much earlier. It has a fine front elevation, unusual in such a small building.
Historic farm group with circa 18th century (possibly earlier) farmhouse, redeveloped in 1837, and re-built in 21st Century. with 19th century outbuildings. Linear range comprising a single-storey, 4-bay former farmhouse (converted to a laverie/boulangerie) with an adjacent 2-storey granite barn and ancillary storage / stable buildings of group value.
The laverie/boulangerie has a slate roof with brick chimney. The front (south) elevation is dressed squared stone construction with long/short stonework to openings and a datestone over the entrance 18 PHB JDC 37 . The Laverie / Boulangerie has a few internal features of interest, including part of an early (circa 17th/18th century) fireplace and blocked doorway, with a bread oven inserted at a later date necessitating the loss of the left-side fireplace corbel - this oven now itself truncated and a later brick Laverie built against the blocked doorway.
