Listed building
This building has fine exterior stonework, its interior retains many rarely surviving features, including panelling and the roof timbers. Shown on the Richmond Map of 1795.
Two-storey with attic, five-bay, central entrance, extended over access way to one bay to west. To south of building is a lawn with a derelict cottage of different owner, aligned with the east corner.
Ground plan, central entrance, single pile, entrance-hall has a recent staircase. Rooms either side have large typical 18th century fireplaces, the corbels have step-moulds, and wooden lintels. Both rooms have a central beam with a shallow run-out chamfer, and much exposed stonework to window revels.
The west room is partitioned off by mid-19th century tongue/groove planking and four-panel door. The room to the east is partitioned by original muntin and plank panelling, but with the later four-panel 19th century door. This room has exposed joists, morticed to the beam.
There are also some 16th century features in an outbuilding, possibly from an early house on the site.
