du Feu of Les Noyers, Trinity

Les Noyers, Vingtaine de Rozel, Trinity, home for many generations of the du Feu family

This tree was added to the site in 2011 and reviewed in 2019. Future research in the Jersey Land Registry and Court Rolls, should enable further 16th and 17th century du Feus and their descendants to be placed within either this branch of the Trinity family, Descendants of Collas du Feu or Descendants of Richard du Feu. The genealogy will almost certainly be extended into the 15th century. [1]

Record Search

If you want to search for records for any name in this family tree, or for any other family name, just click below on the first letter of the family name you are interested in. This will open a new tab in your browser giving you a list of family names beginning with that letter, for which there are baptism records in our database of half a million church and public registry records.

You can also select marriages or burials. Select the name you want and when the list of records is displayed you can easily refine the search, choosing a single parish, given name(s) and/or start and end dates.

The records are displayed 30 to a page, but by selecting the yellow Wiki Table option at the top left of the page you can open a full, scrollable list. This list will either be displayed in a new tab or a pop-up window. You may have to edit the settings of your browser to allow pop-up windows for www.jerripediabmd.net. For the small number of family names for which a search generates more than 1,500 records you will have to refine your search (perhaps using start or end dates) to reduce the number of records found.

Notes and References

  1. The family lived at Les Noyers, Trinity for several generations and three centuries, from at least 1754 to 1939. There has been much confusion over the reading and attribution of the five datestones at the property, but when correctly interpreted, all fit into this descendancy
  2. Baptised in December 1684 in Trinity, as "Nicolas, fils Nicolas," his godparents were Richard Esnouf and Jeanne, widow of Thomas du Feu. Nicolas features in the 1749 Extente, as "Nicolas du Feu, son of Nicolas, son of Richard," owing the Crown annually those charges previously paid by his grandfather, as mentioned in the 1668 Extente. With reference to his date of burial, there were two Nicolas du Feu burials within eighteen months of each other in Trinity, in 1762 and 1763, both merely "Nicolas du Feu." One of these will have been the husband of Marie Le Riche, who died a widow in 1774
