Descendants of Louis Martin

Although we are reasonably confident in the accuracy of this tree, family members moved a number of times from one parish to another, so it is difficult to trace the lineage through church records. For example, at the top of the tree, Louys, who came from France and married Catherine Rouet from St Mary, at St Martin's Parish Church, settled and raised a family in St Peter. As is typical of transcriptions of parish church registers, Catherine's surname can also be found spelt Rouit, Rouy and Rouey.
