Descendants of Jean de la Lande (1640)

This tree was added to the site in 2014. Another tree - Descendants of Jean de La Lande - was added in 2016, with an extra generation at the top, then showing Edouard at generation 4 as the son of Edouard at generation 3 at the bottom of the tree rather than his brother Noe and Marie de Bas, as shown here. We have still not been able to ascertain which of the brothers was the father of Edouard, but tend to the belief that the other tree is more likely to be accurate. That tree is being continuously reviewed and updated, and this tree is now being left as submitted, after the correction of several errors

In common with the majority of our trees, this descendancy has been subject to regular review by site editors and checked against Jersey church records. Trees including French ancestry have also been checked as far as possible against French primary records. It is not always possible to carry out such checks on sections of trees with United Kingdom and/or colonial content
