Early 18th century house, one of a now more unusual type of single storey cottage, retaining exterior character and historic features. Contributes to the scenic value of the rural lane. Shown on the Richmond Map of 1795.
The only original visible internal features to record are a pair of chamfered ceiling beams. The exposed fireplace is a recent rusticated stone construction.
